If you participate in the weight loss program, for example, there are a variety of health considerations
that may be relevant to your losing weight at the speed you desire. A balanced regime of exercise and diet
will yield better weight loss program results than chasing a celebrity diet. Without resorting to gastric-bypass

Your weight loss program will succeed or fail based largely on your food environment. Start the day with
breakfast, and serve yourself smaller portions. Restaurant and packaged
foods generally contain a lot more sodium, fat, and calories than home-cooked meals. Create a shopping list and stick to it, and be especially careful to avoid foods at the ends of the supermarket aisles and along the checkout stands, where grocers tend to sell high-calorie, convenience foods.
In addition to your food and eating-related choices, you can also support your weight loss program by making healthy lifestyle choices. Get plenty of sleep, as lack of sleep has been shown to have a
direct link to hunger, overeating, and weight gain. Exercise is a
dieter's best friend. It not only burns calories, but can actually improve your resting metabolism. Drink more water. You can easily reduce your daily calorie intake by replacing soda,
alcohol, or coffee with water.

Occupational Therapist Assistant
Occupational therapy assistants and aides help patients develop, recover, and are directly involved in providing therapy to patients. Occupational therapy assistants need an associate's degree from an accredited program. There are roughly 200 occupational therapy assistant programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education, a branch of the American Occupational Therapy Association. These programs generally require 2 years of full-time study and include instruction in subjects such as psychology, biology, and pediatric health. In addition to taking coursework, occupational therapy assistants must complete at least 16 weeks of fieldwork to gain hands-on work experience.
Licensure requires the completion of all fieldwork requirements, and passing the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam, in order to use the title Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). The median annual wage for occupational therapy assistants and aides was $54,520 in May 2015. Employment of occupational therapy assistants and aides is projected to grow 40 percent over the next 10 years, a fast-growing field with good opportunities, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Financial Aid Information
Government scholarships and Pell grant applications, combined with academic scholarships, only account for a third of total college aid. Student loans, work-study earnings, and personal savings make up the remaining two-thirds. The official FAFSA website is fafsa.ed.gov and is free to use. Merit-based aid is a package of scholarships and grants awarded to students with special talents. Academic scholarships are highly competitive, and are usually awarded either by the admissions office, or individual academic departments.
Student loans typically have variable interest rates while federal student loans have fixed rates. Financial aid may be administered through the Department of Education or your school's financial aid office. High school grades are the most important factor in gaining admission to the college of your choice, along with letters of recommendation. According to El Centro College calendar 2015, an ideal academic record consists of a high GPA in courses of progressive difficulty. The College Board Scholarship Search service advertises several thousand sources for possible scholarship funds. Trade unions may offer scholarships for union members and their dependent children.
